Use this article to learn when training is required for your study, how to access it from different areas of the Clario Portal, and what happens after you complete it.
Follow the sections below to open your training, track your progress, and understand how training completion affects your access to study activities.
Training Requirements and Access
Some studies require you to complete training before you can access certain features or continue with study activities. This is sometimes referred to as gated training or training assurance.
When training is required, a banner appears prompting you to complete it. The banner remains visible until all required training is finished.
Training is completed in Clario Learn. Once all required training is complete:
Courses are marked Complete automatically
A certificate becomes available
Your completion status is shared with your sponsor or CRO
Access to applicable Clario Portal features is unlocked

Open training from the Global Dashboard
From Clario's Global Dashboard, press Complete Your Training.
A new browser tab opens to Clario Learn, where your assigned training is listed.
Select Enroll to enroll in the course.
Select Start to begin the training.

Open training from the Study Dashboard
From Clario's Global Dashboard, press Select Study or Organization.
Choose your study from the list, or select Show more… to search for it.
From your Study Dashboard, press Complete Your Required Training.
A new browser tab opens to Clario Learn.
Select Enroll, then Start.

Open training from the Sites Dashboard
From Clario's Global Dashboard, press Select Study or Organization.
Choose your study, then select My Sites.
Locate your user card and select Training(s).
A new browser tab opens to Clario Learn.
Select Enroll, then Start.

Open training directly in Clario Learn
If you already know where to go, you can open your training directly from Clario Learn.
From Clario's Global Dashboard, press Clario Learn in the header.
A new browser tab opens showing your assigned training.
Select Enroll, then Start to begin the course.
Training Status Definitions
Training Status Unavailable
The training status cannot be displayed due to a technical issue.
Open their training in Clario Learn to check completion status and finish any outstanding training.
No Training Assigned
Training is required for your study, but no training has been assigned to site users yet.
Follow up with your study management team (such as your sponsor or CRO) for next steps.
Training Pending
The site user has not completed the required training.
Completed
The site user has completed their required training.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't the Site Users tab automatically selected?
Depending on the solutions included in your study's configuration, you may see more than one tab menu on the Sites dashboard. This may result in you needing to select the Site Users tab in order to view your staff's Clario Portal account information.
