    Updating and synchronizing your Handheld

    Did you know there are multiple ways to update Clario’s Handheld device? Maybe you also didn’t know that Clario’s Handheld device comes with more than one application. Well, we’ve got the perfect videos for you. But before we jump into the short tutorials, here are a couple of top tips for ensuring device updates:

    • Check that your connection has two or more bars of signal;

    • Check that your battery has more than 50% charge.

    Updating your eCOA Handheld’s software

    Watch this video to learn how to update your software using Clario’s Airwatch device manager. You will need to perform this task each time Clario or your Sponsor notify you of software updates.                

    Fully synchronizing your Handheld

    A full synchronization (a.k.a. “sync”) means your device has sent all its data to Clario’s database and then retrieved any data or device updates from the database. Watch this video to learn how to sync your Handheld.                


    Activating your Handheld with a Tablet

    Handheld activations occur in two different ways. First, we’ll explore using the Tablet to generate the QR Code needed to activate the Handheld. Before we jump into the short tutorials, make sure you have ready:

    • A powered-on Tablet and your user credentials;

    • A powered-on Handheld and your user credentials;

    • Both devices should be sufficiently charged and connected to a working internet signal.

    • A powered-on Handheld and your user credentials;

    • The Handheld should be sufficiently charged and connected to a working internet signal.

    Editing data with Data Change Requests (DCRs)

    • Data Change Requests (DCRs) are site requests to update and correct data previously sent to Clario; i.e., change in demography (i.e. year of birth, gender, age), change in subject number, change in visit number, etc.
