In this article, you’ll learn how to use the Study Dashboard to orient yourself within a study.
You’ll explore how to access the dashboard, understand the information and tools available to you, navigate to related service dashboards, and stay informed through training, announcements, and other helpful features.

Accessing the Study Dashboard
The Study Dashboard is your starting point for working within a study. Whether you’re working at a single site or across multiple locations, this dashboard helps you monitor activity, take action on clinical data, and stay connected with Clario workflows.
From the Study Dashboard, you can quickly review key study information, including:
Subjects (also referred to as “participants”)
Queries and Data Change Requests (DCRs)
Recently accessed reports
To access the Study Dashboard:
You can access your study’s dashboard from two locations in the Global Dashboard - the Study Selector or from the list of most recently viewed projects. (The project name is a unique identifier included in Clario’s portal, which is why you may see a “study” referred to as a “project”.)
Using the study selector:
Press Select Study or Organization.
Choose your study from the list, or press Show more… to search for it.
Select the study you want to open.
Using the project list:
If you’ve accessed the study recently, it appears in your project list.
Select the project name.
This opens the Study Dashboard.
What You’ll See on the Study Dashboard
The dashboard is organized into widgets that summarize activity across the sites you work with. Selecting a widget opens a more detailed view where you can review data in depth and take action.

Review query details
Take action using the actions menu (press the ellipsis)
Track query progress and resolution
Data Change Requests (DCRs)

Review submitted DCRs
Take action where permitted (press the ellipsis)
Track review and approval status
Reports

Reopen a recent report
Navigate to the full list of available reports
Accessing Service Dashboards
Overview
From the Study Dashboard, you can navigate to other service dashboards related to your study. These dashboards help you review data, take action, and monitor activity across different areas of the Clario Portal.
You may see navigation buttons for:
My Sites
Devices
Subjects
Queries & DCRs
Reports
Select a button to open the corresponding service dashboard.
Why do I see different buttons?
The dashboards available to you depend on:
The Clario solution used by your study
Your role and permissions within that study
For example, eCOA studies may show the dashboards listed above, while Medical Imaging studies may also include additional services such as the Uploader.
A
My Sites
The Sites dashboard is your central place for site‑related information and activities. Use it to review site details, manage site users, and work across multiple sites—depending on your role and permissions.
Go to this dashboard when you want to:
View and update site information
Review site details such as the Principal Investigator, address, and shipping information, and make updates where permitted.
View and request site users
See who currently has access to your site and request access for additional site users.
Manage multiple sites
Navigate between sites when your role includes access to more than one location.
B
Devices
Use the Devices dashboard to monitor device inventory and manage device logistics for the sites you work with. This dashboard helps you understand device availability, track shipments, and request additional devices when needed.
Go to this dashboard when you want to:
Review device inventory
View devices assigned to your sites, including devices currently in use, returned, or available for assignment to participants.
Review order details and track shipments
Monitor order status and fulfillment milestones—such as order placement, shipment, proforma invoice approval (when applicable), and delivery—and follow carrier shipment progress once devices have shipped.
Access Clario’s Resupply Portal
Request additional devices to replenish your site’s inventory and prepare for upcoming participant visits.
C
Subjects
Use the Subjects dashboard to work with participant accounts and data for your study. This is where you can view participant lists, track progress, and access participant‑specific dashboards.
Go to this dashboard when you want to:
Create and activate a participant account
Create participant accounts (including caregivers) and start the activation process. Participants or caregivers complete activation after the account is created.
Manage participant visits
View visit schedules, start scheduled or unscheduled visits, and update participant states as permitted by your role.
View and manage study data
Review participant data at the form level, edit data where permitted, or initiate the Data Change Request (DCR) process.
D
Queries and DCRs
Use the Queries & DCRs dashboard to review questions and data‑correction requests related to your study. This is where sites, study management (i.e., sponsor, CRO), and Clario teams communicate about data issues that require clarification or updates.
Go to this dashboard when you want to:
Review and respond to queries
View questions raised about missing, inconsistent, or unexpected data and provide clarification or take action as needed.
Monitor and prioritize open data issues
Filter and sort queries and DCRs by study, site, subject, status, or assignment to quickly focus on items that are open and require action. From the list, you can open individual queries or DCRs to review details, history, and next steps.
E
Reports
Use the Reports dashboard to access and review reports available to you for your study. This dashboard acts as a central place to find reports from across Clario solutions, based on your role and permissions.
Go to this dashboard when you want to:
View and download reports
Browse the list of available reports, open a report to review its contents, or download it for offline use. Reports you open are added to your recently accessed list for quick return access.

Not seeing a report?
Your access to reports depends on your role and permissions. These determine which report categories you can view, such as site‑level, sponsor‑level, or internal reports.
Staying Compliant with Your Training
Your study may require training before you can access certain features or continue study activities. Training is completed in Clario Learn and may be required at the start of a study or when new training is assigned.
Your training is marked Complete after you finish the course and pass the final quiz. Once all required training is complete, a certificate becomes available and your completion status is shared with your sponsor or CRO.
You can open your training from several places in the Clario Portal, including the Global Dashboard, Study Dashboard, Sites dashboard, or directly from Clario Learn.

How much time do I need to budget for training?
Training typically takes 20-30 minutes, depending on the complexity of your study, and can be reviewed as needed throughout the trial.
