Updating Your Clario App on Your Smartphone
Your Clario app gets automatic updates from time to time to make sure everything runs smoothly and securely. As long as your device is connected to the internet and automatic updates are turned on, you don’t need to do a thing — updates will install on their own.
If you ever need to install an update manually, just follow these steps:
Open the App Store: Ask the participant to unlock their device and open the app store.
Locate the App: Refer to your study-specific training to find the app name. Then, provide this app name to the participant so they can search for it on their smartphone.
Install the App: Ask the participant to authorize installation of the app and follow any prompts to complete the download.
Start the App: Close the store, go to your installed apps, and select the study app. Ensure the participant knows where to find it.
Important: When you open the app for the first time, your device might ask for a couple of permissions:
Camera access – so you can scan the QR code.
Battery optimization – to let the app run smoothly in the background.
Just tap Allow or While using the app when prompted. This helps everything work as it should!
