    Article summary

    Overview

We’ve introduced a subtle yet impactful enhancement to the subject demographics captured in the Clario Portal. We're now collecting 'sex at birth' information during subject creation. This is especially crucial for assessments where biological sex is a critical factor, such as Bone Age evaluations.

Including sex at birth information significantly boosts diagnostic accuracy. This feature ensures that evaluations sensitive to biological differences are tailored appropriately, leading to more precise diagnostics and fewer misdiagnoses.

And to top this feature off, with a strong focus on data privacy and security, we’ve introduced an option to manage the visibility of ‘sex at birth’ in study configurations. By keeping this option off by default, we safeguard sensitive information, ensuring it’s only available when needed.

Conditions necessary for observing this feature

When you log into the Clario Portal and create or edit a subject, you can capture ‘sex at birth’ data if your study is configured to display it. This information is also visible in form audit trails, ensuring comprehensive data tracking.
